Idaho Phone and Screen Detox Assistance

Text Wes at 208-880-3311 to schedule a peaceful detox walk.

What is this about?

This is NOT a phone and electronic detox program.  This is supplemental to an existing program or just a good break from your device.  You're not going to fix your cell phone addiction in one session - but it will help in your journey of recovery.

How does it work?

We meet up.  You lock your device in your vehicle or home.  We go for a 30 or 60 minute walk.  We will walk on the Greenbelt, the Boise Towne Square Mall, a local park, or any where you like.  Simply walking by yourself is usually not enough to fight the urge to look at a screen - a friend to talk to will really help.  I'm an INFJ personality type.  I'm a good listener and am very good at handling sensitive topics.  Or we can just walk without any conversation.  I can easily adapt to whatever you prefer.  Serious discussion, light discussion, or no discussion at all is fine with me.

How is this helpful?

The first and most important part of any detox program is abstinence - time away from whatever it is that is ruining your life.  Looking at digital screens is a necessary part of today's life - but when your life is being negatively impacted from them - it's time to take action.

What are the specific benefits?

  1.  Time away from your device.  This is help with social media, pornography, or any other addiction related to digital screens.

  2. Engage in face-to-face, one-on-one conversation with real human being.  This is helpful if you need help with your social skills.  Remembe we don't have to talk.  Sometimes silence is it's own kind of therapy.

  3.  Someone who is willing to give you their undivided attention.  For most people, all they really want in life is for someone to simply listen to them - someone who won't judge.  This is why people love talking to bartenders, personal trainers, and Uber drivers - these are people that can listen to you and not go anywhere - you have a captive audience.  (I have actually been all three of these!).

Can you help teens too?

Yes, but minors must be accompanied by a parent.

What are the rates?

30 minutes is $25.  60 minutes is $40.  10% off if you prepay for 10 sessions.

How do I know this isn't a scam?

My name is Wes Hult.  I was a Boise School District, Borah High School Security Guard for 13 years.  I've owned and operated Ultra Safe Advanced Driver Training for 10 years.  I've always observed human behavior and many people have told me that I'm easy to talk to.  Since teaching driver training I've noticed a huge, unfortunate reality - teens and millennials are addicted to screens.  I am 48 years old so I love my screens too - but I can exist without them.  I remember a time without a screen in front of me.  And when I teach teens how to drive - they get their screen fix by looking at their smartwatch!  Screens big and small are transforming how are brains are wired, impacting relationships, wasting time, and of course distracting us.  Please go to Ultrasafeadt.com to learn more about me.
